The day is here – Windblowne takes off! I’m tremendously happy to see Oliver fly off into the winds at last, and pleased that my readers who have been waiting for so long will finally be able to fly along with him. I’m happy to announce the sale of my new novel, The Death of Yorik Mortwell, to Random House Children’s Books. Inspired by the art of Edward Gorey, Yorik is a story about a servant boy’s ghostly afterlife on a mystical estate where his sister and unusual new friends are imperiled by dark forces from another world. The publication date is summer 2011. There will soon be much more to share about this and the upcoming Windblowne launch as well.

Everything has been quiet on the surface, but busy underneath. I’m looking forward to updating this site over the next few months as the launch date for Windblowne approaches…
